What is a vision board?
A vision board is essentially a manifestation of your goals. Vision boarding involves collecting images, words, quotes or objects that speak to the future you want to create for a tangible and aesthetically pleasing reminder of where you’re heading. You will want to place this where it can give you daily inspiration. Your vision board can be physical or digital. I made this digital one and printed it out to hang on the wall. I also set it as a background on my computer screen.
Ways to make a vision board:
To make your board take some time and get a clear idea of what you want to manifest into your life. Create a list of words that describe how you want to feel. This will help you narrow down what images, quotes and affirmations that speak to you and represent your goals. As you think of why these goals matter to you, you should start getting a clearer picture of what you really want.
I used Canva to make the digital board above. Canva is a quick and easy way to create a board, use their layouts, photos and quotes or upload personal photos and create your own layout.
For a physical board cut or print out pictures and quotes from magazines. You can use leaves and flowers to bring some outdoors to your board. Postcards are a great way to show some of the places you would like to travel to. Hearts or rose petals, photos that represent the love you would like in your life.
Don’t forget to update your board during the year as visions are reached and goals have been met or changed. Revisit once or twice during the year to make sure that your board still represents your vision and update if necessary.
Either board you choose to make should invoke positive emotions that will motivate you to dream and reach for what you want out of life.
